Het NASA instituut voor geavanceerde concepten roept visionairs op om hun ideeen in te dienen voor 13 februari 2006. (Zoals je hier kan lezen) Fase 1 deelt prijzen uit gaande tot 75000 dollar. Fase 2 gaat tot 400000. Voorbeelden van vragen die opgelost kunnen worden zijn: "Hoe creeer je een zelf-onderhoudende menselijke aanwezigheid in het gehele zonnestelsel" en "echte autonome robotoperaties voor ontdekking en bewoning".
